Jacques Levet, Jr. was born and raised in Southeast Louisiana. He began his professional education by studying Biomedical Engineering at Tulane University in New Orleans, where he graduated with honors and served as his college's Student Council President. While at Tulane, he became particularly interested in the form-function relationships found both within the human body and among products designed specifically for human interaction.

Throughout his life, the cultural and architectural heritage of Louisiana taught him the value found in a sense of place. With his interest in functional design and appreciation of cultural and architectural identity, Jacques began the Master's of Architecture program at the University of Notre Dame, where he focuses on classical and traditional architecture. He utilizes his engineering education to promote the benefits of the classical language by creating designs that balance form-function relationships and are also beautiful, accessible, and sustainable.
